2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire.  This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away.  Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

A sleepy Green Sea Turtle lazily peeks out of one eye to see who's watching, quickly returning to napping.
The critically endangered Ornate Eagle Ray makes an appearance on the Ningaloo Reef. This is the 7th individual identified in this special part of the world.
A Northern Giant Petrel curious about its reflection in my dome dwarfs the onlooking tour boat. This funny bird followed me in the water for 20 minutes and spent most of the time right in front of my camera. An unforgettable encounter!
A Grey Reef Shark swims over one of the only known cleaning stations for these sharks on the Ningaloo Reef, Western Australia.
A clever dusky whaler employs an unusual technique and feasts on a tightly packed bait ball by slowly swimming head first in and waiting for fish to swim into its mouth.
