"Roar" Lovely pink Hyppselodoris Bollockii. No Cropping :o)
"SPIKE" portrait study of a trumpetfish. Sides have been cropped in to frame the subject :o)
"Harly" we were lucky to find 5 different pairs of Harlequins on our recent trip and I've never seen this coloration before. Found on the muck side of Manado. No cropping :o)
"The Mating Game" I followed these amorous cuttlefish hoping they would mate - shame I had my 60mm and +2 diopter on at the time! No Cropping :o)
"Mirage" Night Dive Squid No cropping :o)
shortlistedShortlisted!
"Leap of Faith" :o)
"Alien" A Night Dive had me a wonderful encounter with this curious squid :o) No Cropping
"Fancy Dress" Not your typical Mandarinfish :o)
"In Flight" Captured this flamboyant making his escape. No cropping straight out of the camera :o)
My first attempt at wide angle following a workshop with Mike Veitch in Lembeh of all places! The shot is suffering the slow shutter speed but quite pleased with lighting. D200 with Tokina 10-17
Xeno Crab. 60mm +4 diopter not cropped :o)
Painted Frogfish perched on one of the stanchions of DuCoMil Pier, Dumaguete :o)
Abstract shot of a curly anemone :o)
Hairy Frogfish found in a community of 7! Yes 7 other frogfish all living together, some even sitting on each other :o)
Whip Goby. 60mm +4 diopter. I wanted to achieve a blue rather than black background which I did by slowing the shutter speed. :o)
"Backlit" I decided to try some "Creative" lighting by placing one of my strobes behind the sea pen with other turned down to a minimum to light up the shrimp. 60mm +4 diopter. No cropping
"Hiding" Skunk Anemonefish hiding in its host anemone from the howling current blowing through. Uncropped
Blue Ringed Octopus. No cropping straight out of the camera! :o)
"Best Buddies" What a find... first a yellow thorny seahorse who is joined unprompted by a pygmy pipehorse who wraps his tail around the torso of the seahorse! What a wonderful encounter. 60mm +4 diopter. Uncropped :o)
New Pygmy Species. This is the newly named Severns's Pygmy discovered in Indonesia. This was taken in December 2008 at an undisclosed site in Lembeh where we were very fortunate to be shown a pair by the great guides of KBR :o)
"Pretty" Shot in Lembeh 60mm +4 diopter.:o)
Long-Snout Clingfish hiding in an urchin
"SLURP" The playful Trumpetfish posing again :o)
"Cupids Bow" I found this embracing pair of Robust GPF under the jetty at KBR in just 1.5m of water!
"At The Barbers" caught this gorgeous Lacy Scorpion fish having a quick brush up :o)
The infamous school of Bumphead Parrotfish came cruising by at Sipadan. What a wonderful sight but even better was the crunching noise they made.
"My Bud & Mr Bud" My first experience of underwater photography with Oly 5050 and Inon wide angle lens taken 4 years ago! :o)
