From Tenerife, one of a sequence of photos showing a Lizardfish catching and swallowing an Ornate Wrasse alive. The photos had to be taken in between bouts of thrashing by the Lizardfish. The whole sequence can be seen on my Flickr site.

I noticed this Spotted Hermit Crab (Dardanus megistos) crawling over the coral and waited until it came over the rise, so as not to spook it back into the shell, like I normally do. <> <> <> Canon G9, Inon UCL-165 macro lens.

This tiny (15mm) Porcelain Crab (Porcellanella sp.) is commensal with soft corals. Usually they hide inside the soft coral so you normally only get to see a part of it. Luckily, I found this one on the outside trying to catch some passing food.
