2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire.  This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away.  Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

The encounter ?
Julian Rocks Byron Bay, a friendly Leopard Shark did a couple of flyby's and turned about a foot away from my camera. Lucky I had a wide angle lens!

In July 2012, for the first time in anyone's memory, we had a group of Bull Sharks turn up at prime dive site Sail Rock.
