wide angle shots with no divers in frame
This Mola Mola was quitely sunbathing near the reef walls on Crystal Bay in Bali, it only gives me a few seconds to take the photo before she noticed my presence and swim out to the open sea
Shaft. Derewan. MMIII. Dusk dive to get the sun shining through the jetty's supports and try to catch the resident snappers. Several dusk dives later ....

Anacapa Island, CA. Harbor seals dove up and down the lanes of kelp while we photographed them, chewing on our flippers when they got close enough. I waited for a pair to come down between the rows when this one popped up from below. 60mm lens.

The Dingy is about 35 feet away. At this moment it might as well have been a mile.
On a trip to the Socorros, it seemed the mantas were delighted by the feeling of our bubbles, and came back to hover above us repeatedly. This manta, being cleaned by two clarion angelfish is really right on top of me. Nikonos RS and 13mm lens.
While kneeling in the sand, watching the Carbs & Reefs feed, this scared nurse hid under my shins. Feeding photo in ths contest also. 35 feet in the Bahamas. Reef Master 35mm

Bonaire 2004-I didn't want to disturb these gossiping neighbors.
Bonaire October 2004-This guy was merrily swimming next to me, dropping down to grab quick bites of coral.
OK...so it was a shark dive. I can dream though that I was swimming along the wall and met this Grey Reef shark cara a cara. (face to face, which is the name of the dive site)
Jellyfish Lake in Palau, Micronesia. Thousands of Mastigius Jellyfish inhabit this land-locked lake in Palau. Since they have no natural enemies, they've lost their ability to sting.

This shot was taken at Shaab Rumi Sudan with a nikonos 5 and a 15mm lens .Grey Reef Sharks at this site are very used to diver presence.Captain Coustoes Shark cages are still lying at te bottom of this wonderfull dive site,

Veiled in Blue. I purposely unexposed this shot of a sea fan and soft corals to give it a more dramatic effect. This shot was taken last August in Bonaire.
