2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire. This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away. Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

See, you can get great shots in the UK
Lionfish. King of both the jungle and the sea. Indonesia
Puerto Galera and Coolpix 5000 in Sea & Sea housing and two strobes.
The Hawkfish should probably be called the English Sparrowfish instead, because they are so common everywhere. Leper Island, ocean side, Madang, Papua New Guinea. Olympus C8080/PT-023.
Tompot blenny.
Trefor Pier,N.Wales.
F50,60mm.
Goby and partner shrimp, Mililat Passage, Madang, Papua New Guinea. This was the first time I'd noticed a commensal shrimp carefully placing rocks at the entrance instead of just bulldozing sand out of the hole. Olympus C8080/PT-023.
Puerto Galera, Mindoro Island, Philippines.
These Fusiliers like to hang out under the wing of the B-25 bomber at Wongat Island, Madang, Papua New Guinea. Olympus C8080/PT-023.
Big scorpionfish looking mean! Taken with sony DSC W12 in Menorca.
Pink Anemone - luv' em ... cute little guys. Nikon D70 in Ikelite Housing w/DS125 strobe shot on the Great Barrier Reef
The Freckled Hawkfish are thick as flies on the reefs. It's an easy beginner's fish for photography, because they pose without complaint. There are several subspecies here or there is much variation in coloration. This one is more red than most.
lionfish in Amed - Bali with canon eos 20D in Ikelite housing and ds125 substrobe
