2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire.  This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away.  Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are in MID WATER not touching anything (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)
The watchful eyes of the Octopus in Taiwan, Green Island, IXUS 750..
Not all Clown Fish are as innocent as Nemo, this one looks as though I surprised it with its fins in the cookie jar.
(Taken in the Swan River, at night) using an Olympus 7070 plus Ikelite ds125 strobe.

What a wonderful eye! This is a full frame close-up of the "face" of a small puffer-fish. Only by night, when they are sleeping, is it possible to get so close. Nikon F100 with 90 mm Tamron and TCx2

"Tricky Path" Whilst diving around the Liberty Wreck in Tulamben, noticed this shrimp negotiating its way through the anemone. It almost looked like it had a drunks swagger with 6 left legs.
As this ghost pipefish was hiding in a featherstar it made for a beautiful background. It took a while though to get this shot, it didn't want to let me get that near and kept moving away. Patience, patience, patience I'm starting to learn.
This Hogfish was seen this April at Isla Mujeres. The photo was taken with a Canon PowerShot SD 550
