2024 has been the year of the bait ball in Bonaire.  This tired turtle is looking for a place to rest, oblivious of the cyclone of big eye scan just meters away.  Shot with a Nikon Z8/Nauticam housing/INON z330 strobes.

Smaller subjects typically 1 to 3 inches (2.5 to 7.5cm) shot on macro settings or with macro equipment that are in MID WATER not touching anything (i.e. between 1:1 and 1:3)

Hey, budy!
I was trying to get the picture of juvenile Spotted Drum, when it made a swing and came to the Goby (probably Pallid Goby).
"What a little Diamond!" from Grand Cayman with Canon A70.
The Pyjama Cardinalfish must have one of the craziest patterns in the animal kingdom - and so aptly named!
It took me a few shots too get the face of that flute mouth, as it would not stop moving away from me.
On the Move. This Snowflake Moray was kind enough to pose for a moment or so in the waters off Waialua, HI. Natural light, 80mm macro lense.
Peacock flounder eye, macro. These guys were abundant and cooperative. They have a very interesting pupil. D100 and 105mm lens. Turks and Caicos.

These Bridled clown fish can bite, just look at those teeth.

This fish is aptly named "Painted Comber" it looks like some kid's painted fish drawing. This one is about 2ft in length and was taken on La Gomera in the Canaries, with Canon A70 using the internal flash
Coneys are common in the Cayman Islands, but the Golden variation Coney is rare. One of the prettiest fish I've seen. Nikon D100 with 60mm lens.
It takes some time and some patience to get these mantis shrimps to stay still
