This muck diving dive site. Gently sloping with black sand. My last dive on 19 Oct 2009 morning dive, I found Yellow Rhinopias and Wonderpus. I dive with Lembeh Scuba (www.lembehscuba.com). They have experience dive guide named Engel Lumakeki. The viz around 15-20 meter.

Although it is expensive to stay on this tiny island it is well worth the money. The island itself is a turtle conservation island. There are more turtles than people here and you will often find turtles laying eggs in front of or under your bungalow during the night. At sunset the turtle conservation people will release baby turtles back into the sea and when you go diving there's a good chance of seeing turtles mating at the surface. This island is well known for its manta rays, but there are many other rays too such as blue spotted maskrays, cowtail rays, eagle rays, marbled rays and many otheres. We saw a few white tip sharks and leopard sharks and many many cuttlefish. There is not much macro life, but we still found a few beautiful nudibranchs, shrimps, jawfish, hawkfish and other small fish. There are some very nice wide angle photography opportunities here.

Hard to get to and expensive to dive but well worth the effort. At the moment there are only two divecentres on the island. Diving is organised off speedboats or from shore. The reefs are nice but for me the best dives are under and in between the numerous jetties. Lots of green turtles can be found munching the seagrass and excellent macro stuff under the jetties. You can easily take some great pics while snorkling at low tide in 20-30cm of water. Vis is generally around 15m and water temp 28C

This is a small island with a huge lake inside. After Palau it is the best place in the world to find non-stinging jellyfish. It is an unforgettable experience to swim without fear surrounded by jellies. If you go there don't forget to explore the magnificent shoreline. The overhanging branches of the trees are covered in colourful sponges and some beautiful nudis can be found here.

amazing place for a night dive, only 5mins by boat from Semporna. Look for the red marker buoy that is bent. Reef starts very shallow at 3m, on my first dive there, the first fish i saw was a Shaggy Frogfish!! Reef goes down to a sandy bottom at 13m, where you can find anything and everything macro!! this is such an amazing night dive.

Sipidan and Mabul off the coast of Borneo, Malaysia was one of the best dive locations ever. Where else can you get the big fish and macro life just 1 island away. When Sipidan had the resorts, you could literally walk out from your beach bungalow to the pristine Celebes Sea and experience white tip and Black tip sharks, loads or huge Hawsbill turtles, Humpheads, Barracuda and nearly every colorful sea life imaginable for a sunset dive.Or take the speed boat 5 minutes to the dive sites where wall dives and reefs and the open blue offer huge sharks, including scalloped hammerheads, nurse and thrasher sharks galore. Then onto Mabul which is a 15 minute boat ride away, one can see Corocodile fish, large Frog fish in a multitude of colors, Mantis shrimp, ribbon eels, huge Giant Morays, and finally a Pygmy Seahorse that was so hideen in the fan coral that you almost needed a magnifying glass to see it. So beautiful and delicate, its hard to imagine how it ever survives. The list goes on and on. Truly a Paradise for Divers!!
