The little fish was hanging out within the Sea Grass. Taken with a 105 on a Nikon D7000 over Christmas 2013. The Dive team from the Aiyanar Beach and Dive Resort were excellent. Camera Room was really good. Diving was not cheap and a mix of Muck and Reef. The Reef outside the hotel was very good but no large fish.

The local government pier where fishing and diving boat depart and arrive during the day. As a dive site it would only be recommended for the lovers of the small, weird and macro as visibility is often limited to under 5m. However, for the macro lover and photographer it is a treasure trove. Some of the local dive shops offer it as a night dive.

Many fire urchins at this dive site. The knowledgeable dive guide was kind enough to point out this coleman shrimp for me to shoot. I had to be careful when shooting this photo because fure urchins were everywhere and it is a slope. Luckily for me the photo turned out okay. Need to do some cropping and post editing though but still I am a happy man.

Was a lucky shot since I am a novice. Spent sometime focusing this little fella of about 1cm. Luckily it behaved well after got used to my presence. My compact setup also make this shot possible as the shrimp hide inside some rubbles.

Found this particular shrimp hiding in a small gorgonian coral while shooting something else. Thanks to the shrimp for jumping around that caught my attention. There were quite a few of them in the coral. Luckily I was using a compact camera so the setup is small enough for me to poke in for some shots. Not easy to shoot this small size creature close up as a beginner. Guess I was lucky.
