United States Atlantic (North American coastal)This is a beach dive. Depth is 22 feet or less. Wild life is very good I have seen eels, crabs, sting rays, manatees, sponges and more. The only down side to this site is that it needs to be done at high tide, and you have to watch out for fishermen. ( trying to get that changed )

Turkey Mediterranean SeaThis is a popular shore dive site. During they day there is not much life to be seen and it is used mainly as a training site because of a small protected rocky bay, easy entry and exit, and fair visibility. However, if you can find a Turkish guide to take you at night (required by Turkish law), then you are bound to see lots of interesting life. The dive starts in a rocky bowl, and you can go out to a mini wall that drops to a sandy bottom. We have seen large squid, octopi, flatworms, various nudibranchs, sleeping fish, multiple crabs, Spanish lobster, anemones, etc... Depths range from 8 feet to 50 feet. There is a small dive facility at White Cliffs, but I have never used it.

Netherlands North SeaThe Grevelingen is a saltwaterlake closed from the sea. This means that visability can be very good. The divesite begins at the end of the second pier. The left site next to the pier is very shallow but there is also some interesting macro stuff to find. When the water gets deeper go to the right site, here is a wal with rocks. Diving in front of the harbour entrance is not allowed.

PhilippinesDauin North is part of the sanctuary in Dauin, Negros Oriental. The start of this divesite is a (dark) sandy slope that is one of the best muck dives around. You can find Dragonettes, Frogfish, Ghost Pipefish, Seahorses, Pipehorses and many more elusive critters down there. After the slope you can enter the reef which is home to lots of Anthias, Damselfish, Clownfish, some smaller Barracudas, Triggerfish and more common reeffish. A lot of the time you might not even make it to the Reef as the muck area has so much to offer. No need to go very deep here, maximum depht here is about 26 meters/ 85ft. Ususaly there is no current at this site.

United States PacificNice cold water 50F site, lots of cod, squid, giant pacific octopus, plus macro oppertunities with small mollusks and fish life. Never much tide current, but wear your 7mm wetsuit or, better, a dry suit.

Netherlands North SeaDiving place with almost always something special to find. In spring Sepia's are coming to the bridge to mate and lay their eggs. Diving is best arround the turn of tide. It is possible to dive at other times but the current can be very strong. Visability can vary greatly and can be different at the same day, depending on low or high tide. Due to the visability macro shots is the best option.
