PhilippinesDiving here is really great! You'll love this site.
It's in slanting position so you'll never know that you're going really deep, but even though your in 100+ ft. the marine life is still very fantastic! Sometimes you'll even see sharks swimming along with the currents.
Photography here is great.
After diving here you can even go to the sombrero island and go a diver's picknick there. This is the best dive site for me!
If you'll have a chance to come here you might even change your favorite site!

Malaysia South China SeaPulau Perhentian is a great island which is not well known by international divers or travellers. It offers great dive sites and beaches that are not crowded like Bali and Thailand. If you are wishing to go there the best budget places to stay are at Long Beach on Pulau Perhentian Kecil. If you prefer staying at more expensive hotels and resorts you can find them on Pulau Perhentian Besar. Almost everyone on the Island can speak English and they are really friendly. I would recomend to go diving with Spice Divers
website because they are the only locally owned and operated dive shop on the island, they provide the best services and are really friendly. The instructors there speak English, Malay, German, French and Italian.

Egypt Red SeaIn 1956 Jacques Cousteau, with his mythical oceanographic ship Calypso, discovered the wreck of the Thistlegorm on the outer wall of the immense reef known as Sha'ab Ali, off the western coast of Sinai. This was a British transport ship built in1940 by Thomson & Sons that was lying at anchor early in the Second World War when it was attacked by a squandron of German bombers from Crete. The Thistlegorm had come from Cape Town loaded with material for the British troops in North Africa (munitions, hand grenades, anti-tank mines, Lee Enfield MK III rifles, BSA motorcycles, Morris automobiles, Bedford trucks, two light MK II Bren Carrier tanks, two locomotives, two railway freight cars, two tank cars, spare parts, medicines, tires and rubber boots) and was hit by two bombs; it sank for 30 meters in an upright position onto the flat and sandy floor.
Cousteau found a ship which, despite the fire that had resulted from the bombing, was virtually intact, as was its cargo. He documented his discovery in some scenes in one of his memorable documentary films so that the public at large would become acquainted with this extraordinary wreck, which is considered the most interesting in the Red Sea and has become a great favourite with scuba divers from all over the world.

Australia PacificJulian Rocks is rated as one of the best dive sites in Australia. Coral growth is limited but the abundance and diversity of larger animals is enormous. Manta Rays, Leopard Sharks and Grey Nurse Sharks visit at different times of the year. From the sharks, to pelagics and various species of anemone fish ... through to the numerous species of nudibranchs Julian Rocks provides a prolific concentration of marine life - big and small, all in one location. This makes every dive at Julian a different diving experience. Julian Rocks is a protected marine sanctuary and a no-take zone. The reefs of Julian Rocks attract a great diversity and approx 550 species of marine life have been recorded in the area. Julian rocks is situated within the Cape Byron Marine park in northern NSW, on the east coast of Australia. It is an aggregation site for the endangered grey nurse shark, Carcharias taurus . Julian Rocks is also home to an incredible variety of marine species including wobbegongs, rays, turtles, fish, nudibranchs and many more. Humpback whales are often seen passing through the area during their annual winter migration to breeding grounds. Dolphins are seen all year round. "My attraction to Julian Rocks began with the desire to dive with Grey Nurse sharks ... and now I am hooked on sharks ... and constantly amazed at the diversity of marine life at Julian Rocks." I am now a regular visitor to Byron Bay and dive Julian Rocks every Friday. Together with a number of fellow divers, we have commenced photographing the various species of marine life and recording these images on a website dedicated to Julian Rocks. Lynda Clarke has put a serious effort in cataloguing the marine biology of the Julian Rocks and surrounds. She has collated brilliant photos and loads of information - sharks, rays, turtles, fish, starfish, nudibranchs and more. For a glimpse of the marine life that makes the Julian Rocks special, these images can be viewed on
website 2 commercial operators run several snorkeling and diving trips to Julian Rocks every day, as well as whale whatching and dolphin tours. The water temperature at Julian Rocks ranges from approx 17 deg through the winter upto 26 deg in the summer. The most common dive sites are the Cod Hole, Hugo's Trench, the Nursery and the Needles. United KingdomHands Deep
(12-50m) A series of rocky pinnacles in the middle of no where! Like the Eddystone, the kelp disappears once you are below 20m.
This a high energy site, that if the tide does pick up it is easy to find an area in the lee to explore. Life is similar to the Eddystone

United KingdomThe Eddystone Reef
(3-50m) 12 miles out from Plymouth, this large reef rises from 50m+. A high energy site with lots of rock gullies that are kelp lined above 20m, but once you go below 20m the kelp is replaced with a fantastic tapestry of jewel anemones, dead men's fingers and plumrose anemones. Pollack, wrasse (all makes), bass, edible crabs, lobsters and congers etc.
Being so far out, generally it has excellent visibility. The world's best dive site? Yes, it really is that good!
