Shaab Rumi south point

   Sudan  Red Sea
Plateau at about 25-30m with very deep drop offs to the sides. Plateau is teeming with life. Lots of corals and sponges. This site gets large schools of Barracuda, large schools of Jacks and regular sightings of grey reef sharks. If you swim to the edges of the plateau and hang in the blue you may also be rewarded with sightings of hammerheads. Then as you swim back up the plateau towards the reef you will see a shark cage at about 18m abandoned from Cousteau's time here. The reef comes up to about 5m at it's shallowest and you can see a large school of bump head parrotfish, anenomes, sweet lips etc. A truly great dive site.

Umbria Wreck

   Sudan  Red Sea
Brilliant dive site with lots of interest. Don't miss the three cars in cargo hold. Try not to pick up and shake the bombs....they are all still live !!

You can get great shots of the bridge by shootong down from the top....light is better than trying to shoot upwards.

This is an amazing night dive. There are sleeping parrot fish everywhere, lots of clown fish, shrimp, nudis, etc. My fav night dive in the Red Sea.

Punta Tunich

   Mexico  Caribbean Sea
This is a slopping wall which has lots of plant growth and lots of sponges which attracts lots of turtles.... It is a high velosity drift dive. The wall is beautiful and there are ledges and cracks which are always interesting. This is considered an advanced dive and usually a second dive after a surface interval. I suggest diving with Liquid Blue Divers for small, fast and limited divers. Steel tanks afford a bit longer bottom time.

Amos Rock, Tubbtaha

   Philippines
Amos rock is a big steep wall in Tubbataha. You can see rays and sharks here quite often and the wall is covered with seafans and sponges. Beautiful divesite where the wall starts at around 10ft/3M and drops down quickly.

In Through the Out Door

   Myanmar (Burma)  Andaman Sea
Probably the best dive site we encountered on a week long liveaboard. You enter an enclosed corridor filled with sweepers and soft corals and the force of nature grabs you and pulls you through, spitting you out the other end! Once through there is a super reef on the other side where I have never before seen so many morays - free swimming, hanging in sea fans. Pretty good dive by anyones standards!
