Netherlands Antilles Caribbean SeaDrive and Dive around Curacao in February 2008. Excellent diving and an abundance of underwater wildlife to see/explore. After having dove BonAire in 2007, I'd recommend Curacao for those wanting more diversity (i.e., night life and other forms of entertainment), while BonAire is better suited to strictly diving, whereas alternative activities are few/far between. Regardless, both offer drive and dive packages, hence if you've tried/tired of the cattle-boat dive trips, or the weakest-link in the chain type guided tours, I can guarantee you'll love the freedom and pace of setting your own agenda!

Malta Mediterranean SeaInteresting dives around south coast of Malta and around Valetta Harbour.
Most dives are shore access - occasionally difficult egress!
Lots of marine fish life but often same species. Not a great diversity. A smattering of invertabrates including urchins and fire worms.
Excellent wreck diving, including "Rozi" (30m) and HMS Maori (17m).

Malaysia South China SeaThe wreck is a twin engine landing craft used by Vietnamese refugees in the late 1970's. It sunk upside down on a sandy bottom at 22m. Their is a mooring line attached to the stern which makes a good descent/ascent line and it's needed if you are diving the wreck in anything other than slack as the current can be quite strong here. Even with a slight current it is still possible to dive the wreck on the lee side. The top of the wreck is covered in a mass of soft corals and is a good area to spend some time in once you have been around the wreck, which wont take long as it's quite small. There are also some small pieces of wreckage in the sand a few metres from the stern and these seem to attract huge Stonefish and Puffers.
