Malaysia Celebes Seaamazing place for a night dive, only 5mins by boat from Semporna. Look for the red marker buoy that is bent. Reef starts very shallow at 3m, on my first dive there, the first fish i saw was a Shaggy Frogfish!! Reef goes down to a sandy bottom at 13m, where you can find anything and everything macro!! this is such an amazing night dive.

Indonesia Halmahera Seaa narrow channel between these 2 large islands which can flow with quite a strong current in the middle although it is quite calm along the sides. The channel has trees growing overhead and teems with marine life below the surface. Huge gorgonian fans and soft corals etc, even growing on the dead trees that have fallen into the water.

Malaysia South China SeaTioman Island (locally, Pulau Tioman) is a small island located 32 km off the east coast of Peninsular Malaysia in the state of Pahang, and is some 39 km long and 12 km wide. It has eight main villages, the largest and most populous being Kampung Tekek in the north. Yet, the densely forested island is still sparsely inhabited, and is surrounded by numerous coral reefs, making it a scuba diving haven.
Its beaches were depicted in the 1958 movie, South Pacific as Bali Hai. In the 1970s, TIME Magazine selected Tioman as one of the world’s most beautiful islands.
Apart from its diverse marine life, the inland rainforest area, encompassing approximately 12,383 hectares, in Tioman is a strictly enforced nature reserve. There are several protected species of mammals on the island, including the Binturong, Long-tailed Macaque, Slow Loris, Black Giant Squirrel, Red Giant Flying Squirrel, Mouse deer, Brush-tailed Porcupine, and Common Palm Civet, from a total of 45 species of mammals and 138 species of birds, including the majestic Frigatebird. Moreover, Tioman has species that are endemic to its shores. The soft-shelled turtle and the Tioman walking catfish are both unique and can be seen on rainforest walks.
The island is served by ferries from the Malaysian mainland, and a propeller plane service by Berjaya Air from Singapore (Seletar Airport) and Kuala Lumpur (Subang Airport)

New Zealand PacificSite consists of a series of underwater pinnacles in a line at right angles to the island, each one progressively deeper than the next. They are covered in kelp and have lots of large fallen rocks around them. A perfect place for groups of Red Crayfish to live. On top of the rocks, we found the usual Nudibranchs, Triplefins and Blennies. Swimming in and around the kelp, are the occasional, Stingray, Snapper, Orange Wrasse and Sandager's Wrasse. At the top and close to the island there is a small undersea cave/arch, but it's very shallow, only 3 to 4 metres deep. The light here is good and the schools of Maomao make some nice scenic shots. Sea Temp 19c (Jan 2008)
