Malta Mediterranean SeaInteresting dives around south coast of Malta and around Valetta Harbour.
Most dives are shore access - occasionally difficult egress!
Lots of marine fish life but often same species. Not a great diversity. A smattering of invertabrates including urchins and fire worms.
Excellent wreck diving, including "Rozi" (30m) and HMS Maori (17m).

Malaysia South China SeaThe wreck is a twin engine landing craft used by Vietnamese refugees in the late 1970's. It sunk upside down on a sandy bottom at 22m. Their is a mooring line attached to the stern which makes a good descent/ascent line and it's needed if you are diving the wreck in anything other than slack as the current can be quite strong here. Even with a slight current it is still possible to dive the wreck on the lee side. The top of the wreck is covered in a mass of soft corals and is a good area to spend some time in once you have been around the wreck, which wont take long as it's quite small. There are also some small pieces of wreckage in the sand a few metres from the stern and these seem to attract huge Stonefish and Puffers.

Antigua & Barbuda Caribbean SeaI don't know how helpful I can be because I was there in 1989. I'm sure many things have changed there especially in light of the storms that have hit. I stayed at a friends timeshare right on the beach and there was a dive shop within walking distance. Unfortunately, I don't remember the name. But the dive shop was owned by a guy named "Big John" and I would dive with him again in a second. He is somewhat of a legend there and actually founded some of the more popular dive spots. I was there in November and water temp was 75+ and air was 85 avg. The viz was fair...not great for Caribbean diving though....avg was 40 ft. I saw huge ray ( 8 ft wing span ), turtles, lobsters, an octopus, lots of nurse sharks. If you can, try to do a dive that is called... I think.... "The Shoots" or "The Slides". It's a big rock crevice and the current actually pulls you through it just like being on a ride. It might be near English Harbor but I'm not sure. It's a very cool dive though and VERY different from any other dive I've done. English Harbor itself is about a 100 ft dive. It's ok and also some crevices and neat rock formations that you can go through. But the one I mean actually PULLS you through and it's in about 50 ft of water.

Maldives Indian Ocean Vaavu Atoll is comprised of two
geographical atolls; the main
Vaavu Atoll and the adjacent large circular
atoll, Vattaru, which is 9 kilometres in diameter with just one uninhabited
island.
Vaavu Atoll is a true geographical wonder. It is a boot-shaped
atoll and the ‘toe’,
Fotteyo Muli is the easternmost point of the
Maldives archipelago. In addition to this, the 55 kilometres long unbroken reef
that stretches from the ‘toe’ to the ‘heel’ of the ‘boot’ is the
longest reef in the Maldives. Vaavu atoll has been exposed to tourism since 1975
and the atoll has been a great favourite with safari and cruise operators.
However it is more isolated and less commercialised than any of the other
tourist atolls.
Vaavu Atoll hosts some of the best diving in the
Maldives.
Fotteyo Kandu is considered by many as the best dive site in
the country and one of the top five in the world. The reefs of the eastern side
of the atoll are in pristine condition and are wonderful for divers and
snorkellers alike. There are many thrilling shark dives in the atoll, where
divers may be lucky enough to see hammerhead sharks as well as the more common
gray reef sharks.

Cyprus Aegean SeaThe Vera K is a medium size freighter sitting upright in 10 metres. It is an ideal dive to introduce beginners to wreck diving. It is sunk in a crater so, as a site, it is well defined. It has an intact wheelhouse but the rest of the wreck is in various states of collapse.
It takes a short boat ride (10 minutes) from Paphos harbor, where there are a couple of dive operations (Cydive being the most established).
It takes a good 45 minutes to explore the wreck and surrounding crater. There are caves that are very safe for a swim through and, if you are lucky, you will see Big George. He's a massive grouper (cow sized!) and I have no idea how he got that big in the Mediterranean but he is not a myth. I've seen him! He's understandably shy of divers and you won't get close enough to photograph him, let alone touch him.
