One main gutter with several smaller gutters and bommies. It is part of the Port Stephens - Great Lakes Marine Park, and is classified as a general purpose zone (fishing is allowed). Its not uncommon to see sharks with fish hooks in their mouth or line comng from the mouth. The main gutter runs almost in a North/South direction. At the southern end of the gutter is where you can find large schools of baitfish and this is where the sharks are in greatest numbers. In years gone by the sharks would be here from Feb to May, but in the last 2 - 3 years they have been here on nearly every day that we have been here/ Facts about North Rock Gutters- It is in Australia
