Very remote location. Hardly any facilities, although few high-class lodges can provide air and equipment. Diving varies between sandy or muddy areas and rocks. In some areas vertical rock walls and huge boulders can be found. Most interesting are the cichlid fishes. About 180 endemic species are described, some very colorful and with interesting behaviour (breeding in snail shells, mouth brooding, scale eating, etc.).
