I can't really say much about this location for I have only dove here once. I can say, however, that you really need to be physically fit and have absolutely no problem with having to suit up at the top of the hill (which is where you park you car) and walk down (with all your gear on) either the paved service road (which is really long and steep), or the stairs that are directly next to the service road (which are the same steepness and length as the service road) to reach the beach. This is really the only way to access the beach by foot. At the end of the service road/stairs, there are well kept mens/womens bathrooms and external showers (one for your whole body, and two for your feet). The showers are quite convenient because you can rinse off all the sand you picked up from getting out of the water and you can give a light rinse to your gear. I give it 4/5 stars. Would be 5/5 if there were an escalator On a good day, the viz would be about 20 feet. However, when a storm is on the way, expect 60+!

Great snorkeling spot, but don't leave ANYTHING in your car up on the road. Better to just leave your windows down so they don't get smashed.

Air Force Tower is an old navigational aid. The bottom is about 70 feet while the top of the structure is 20 feet below the surface. The structure is home to at last 3 different types of blenny - seaweed, Molly Miller, and tessalated. It also attracts many other fishes to include spadefish, bonita, cobia, makeral, flounder, snappers, blue angelfish, barracuda, cocoa damselfish, and the occasional Goliath Grouper. Diving can be challenging due to strong currents and poor visibility.

Great cold water diving. Must have a light and be advanced diver to dive this area. Neah Bay is one of Washington states best dive areas and Curley's Resort and dive center in Sekiu is a full service dive shop. I have see whales, wolf fish, basket stars, nudibranchs and the list go's on. The water is cold so if you have a dry suit us it, and the vis can be as good as 60+ feet. I have over 600 dives in this area and I must say it's some of the best diving anywhere. click here click here

Wreck dives, Spiegel Grove viz was not as good as I expected, mostly 30 ft to 40 ft, USNS Vandenberg has strong currents and viz also was limited, not much marine life on the Vandenberg, it will be pristine in a couple of years when the marine life moves on it. So far all that is there are a couple of Groupers, under 100 pounds. Phillipines was a great dive site as well, Dumaghette & Puerto Galera, pristine reefs, easy diving mostly shallow dives down to 90 feet. The Carribean is the Carribean, the reefs are dying and the big animal life is hard to find, Cozumel is always great for a fast drift and tunnels and swim throughs, I stay away from cave diving. Costa Rica on the NW side of the country, Hermosa, has some big animals and the viz is poor because of the planten in the water to feed the big boys. The South Pacific has my interest, this year I went to Fla. and going to Dominica and then to Borneo for 2 weeks.
