Amazing place for freediving and scuba also . Not much marine life but the inverse thermocline (warm from surface to about 12m and than very hot -38*C-from 12m to the bottom) and the ''dramatic'' walls make it must dive place in Coron . Fresh water the first 12m and than lower it's salt water .

Current is very dependent on time of day. The diving in Puerto Galera is timed around the tides and being off a little can end up being a roller coaster ride This was a really nice dive. Lots of fish, anthia's, damselfish, moray eels, parrotfish, wrasse, unicornfish, jacks, rainbow runners... the "usual suspects" I call them Right at the end of our dive I had my first (and I hope last) experience being chased by a nesting Titan Triggerfish! Having an almost 3 foot long fish with those kind of teeth chasing is an "interesting" experience :))
