This wreck is a bit broken up but has it's prop (upside down) and great for posing for photos. Not much marine life but did find an octopus. The glass bottomed boat came and parked over us - much to the delight of the passengers (finally having something interesting to see!)

Zenobia is a Swedish roll-on-roll-off ferry fully loaded with 108 trailers and trucks, regustered to carry up to 140 passengers. She sunk on her maiden voyage to Cyprus in 7 June 1980 off Larnaca's fishing harbor. Zenobia is now lying on her side at 42 meters. Possition: 34,53.5 N, 33,39.1 E (1.500 meters from the shore). Most of diving in Cyprus is not very good. They have severely over-fished and there is not really any coral... BUT the Zenobia Wreck is an awesome dive and makes a trip there worth while! The wreck is so big that they usually have you dive half in the morning & half in the afternoon. Very cool.

The site is protected by the local RAF base, who have also provided much of the artificial reef, including a helicopter and fire engine. Tight control of access so not suitable for casual attendance - you need to get there via a local dive operation who will book the time slot. Once there, just enjoy! A very easy dive - my wife had just completed her Open Water - but an incredable amount of fish, all very interested in people. Very shallow - max 6m/20ft depth so non-divers could even snorkel there, but check with the dive operators first. Photo opportunities beyond compare, and youll run out of time before you run out of air at those depths!

The Vera K is a medium size freighter sitting upright in 10 metres. It is an ideal dive to introduce beginners to wreck diving. It is sunk in a crater so, as a site, it is well defined. It has an intact wheelhouse but the rest of the wreck is in various states of collapse. It takes a short boat ride (10 minutes) from Paphos harbor, where there are a couple of dive operations (Cydive being the most established). It takes a good 45 minutes to explore the wreck and surrounding crater. There are caves that are very safe for a swim through and, if you are lucky, you will see Big George. He's a massive grouper (cow sized!) and I have no idea how he got that big in the Mediterranean but he is not a myth. I've seen him! He's understandably shy of divers and you won't get close enough to photograph him, let alone touch him. See Also click here
