A path of fireworms lead us to this battle of survival, like a crowd drawn to a football game. Several Fireworms were attacking a live Octopus! In a heriffic display of bravery, weakened and stunned by neurotoxins, the Octopus never gave up.

The climb off the lily pad was a stick fallen into the pond. I love the wildlife in the backyard and creek. I could spend the whole day shooting in my backyard!

Shot taken last May at the metridium fields in Monterey, California. The visibility wasn't too great, but the bloom brought in the nettles making for some fun backgrounds. shot with a canon 7d, tokina 10-17mm lens, and 2 inon strobes

These two Downey Blennies were foolin around like two kittens with a ball of yarn- they snuggled and giggled for over 30 minutes, despite my presence- only looking up at me now & then as if to say.. "is she still here??!!"
