Very small (10mm) Phyllodesmium serratum, grazing on a sea-squirt "inlet".
It looked like a fungus at first sight but when I looked closer it appeared a tiny nudibranch.

Took this with my compact canon D10 camera while snorkelling under the pier with my students yesterday. Its a lions tail jelly but quite damaged. I have adjusted the temperature and removed some distracting light patches but liked how it came out...
I feel that this photos is getting closer to what I am hearing from the UnderwaterPhotography team - many thanks again!! Hard to get the whole animal in the frame when I'm this close... ISO 100, 1/200 sec, f11, Tokina 17mm
