Ricketts Point, snapping shrimp-Alpheus sp. : The fingers at the end of the larger claw are used to make a loud snapping noise to stun prey and scare divers! Not much is know about this species.

Catostylus mosaics - apt description as the mosaic pattern on this small jelly (common name; Blue Blubber) shows. Taken in Very murky water (less than .5 meter vis) I liked how the sun lit up this jelly like a delicately designed lamp.

"Synchronised swimming" These two dolphins buzzed by right past me while working with KI Dolphin Watch research in early January - studying and identifying wild bottlenose dolphins in the cool temperate waters off Kangaroo Island.
