A Rose in the Emerald Sea! With the green sea above the life below in the cold water shines with flamboyant colors!
Strawberries all a glow! The Strawberry Anemone was in a field of them that gives an amazing bright pink field. With a plus 10 diopter and 100 macro you get to see the delicate fingers of this amazing creature!

~ The Gauntlet ~
I simply love dive sites with interesting topography. Its kind of like being in mountainous terrain, only you can "fly" where ever you would like to go with little effort.
Curiosity
~ Crystal Chandelier ~
From time to time these Crystal Jellyfish gets swept inshore from the deep pelagic waters by up-welling. Its a long and harsh journey and finding a beautiful in-tacked jelly at the end of it is a rare find.
~ Butterflies ~
Diving in a kelp forest do feel as if you are in forest with one major benefit, you can glide to where ever you would like to go. It makes the forest experience even more surreal and one of my favourite places to dive!

This guy was actually hooked by a fisherman. I didnt see that before i looked at the shot afterwards. Slightly cropped.
First cuttlefish for the year on a ripping current wall dive. Putting this into the temperate water section as it was shot in Melbourne, Australia. Temperate can be full of colour too!
The curious seal were twisting right in front of my camera.
Alien in Red and Gold! With a prawn on the hunt in the nite the refraction and light coming off them from side and front lighting is amazing!
Decorated for War! A Decorated Warbonnet hunting in the night pauses while a Broke Back Shrimp crawls on its back!
Perfectly poised trio. California sea lions frolic in the blue water at the Channel Islands. Shot with Canon 10-22mm zoom in Ikelite Housing using dual DS51 strobes.
An Eye on you! The spectacular morphing, colour changing and intelligent eye of a Giant Pacific Octopus. This medium sized specimen (8-10 tip to arm tip) was out hunting and allowed us to sneak in with 100 macro and +10 diopter!
Delicate as a fan! Posing for a mate this uniquely colored Sailfin Sculpin was all spread out like a fine Japanese fan.

All a Glow! The luminescence of a Cup Coral! With darkness beyond and the right light these tiny creatures can be stunning! Canon 100mm macro with +5 diopter in an Aquatica housing with twin Sea and Sea 110a strobes.
A bright jewel in the deep! A diver floats thru the cold emerald seas looking far down onto the beauty of the deep!
