Member since: Tuesday, February 26, 2013 | I have a Canon G1-X with the Canon housing and Canon weights attached for neutral buoyancy. It's a great camera in general and I love it for diving. For me it falls somewhere between an SLR and a point-and-shoot. It's small enough for easy handling underwater and takes great photographs. My main camera is a Canon EOS 1D X but it would break the bank to have a housing for it lol.
I've been diving for decades and started seriously in underwater photography several years ago when digital cameras came into their own.
My favorite dive site - hmmmmm. I hate to give it away for it's an undiscovered treasure. Alona Beach on the island of Panglao, off the southwest tip of Bohol Island in the Philippines. If I had gills I'd be living in the underwater reef nature reserve. Actually, anywhere in the Sea of Bohol is wonderful diving. And less crowded than the Great Barrier Reef.
