I use a variety of video cameras as I teach the course. Most common are the small Sony XR 520 and CX 550 cams in Aquatica housings. Great little machines.
We also have a Sony EX1R in a gates and a few other various housings and cameras in the company.
I take still images with a Canon G10, and although a good compact camera I would like to get my hands on something bigger and better. But for now, all we buy is video equipment for the Bsac courses we teach.
I dive mainly around Koh Tao in the gulf of Thailand as this is where we are based. I love just cruising the sand on any site, and finding new and interesting little creatures that we previously didn't know where in the area.
Even finding something that is common elsewhere in the world can make your day if you've never seen it before in the area.
