Member since: Tuesday, January 12, 2010 | Simon is an avid underwater photographer and marine life enthusiast from Sydney, Australia. Born and bred in Germany, he picked up scuba diving and underwater photography after moving down under in 2002 and has never looked back.
You can usually find him in the water on the weekends on one of Sydney’s dive boats, shooting his housed Nikon D300 “WALL-E”, in Chowder Bay, or if he’s lucky over a long weekend at the Barrier Reef.
Simon is a qualified PADI Digital Underwater Photography Specialty Instructor who enjoys working with students on any type of underwater photography, including post processing images using Adobe Photoshop and Apple’s Aperture 3.
Clocking 250 dives on the Great Barrier Reef in Australia, in Thailand, Sulawesi, Indonesia and French Polynesia his favourite dive sites are the wreck of the SS Yongala near Townsville, Steve’s Bommie on Ribbon Reef #10, Tupitipiti Pass on the southern end of Bora Bora, and Roma in Wakatobi.
