Member since: Monday, September 19, 2005 | Relative beginner u/w photography, though diver for 25 yrs , and amateur photographer even longer. Dont have huge budget so photos mainly confined to UK waters, apart from Red Sea Oct 05. Camera is Olympus 8080 with Ikelite housing - have had it for a year now. Got Ike DS50 strobe for Red Sea trip, but was using Kowalski 50w lamp with flood reflector before that. Have had moderate success (in my terms) but lack of strobe was limiting me to macro shots of things that dont move or, if viz allows, shots of other divers using available light. Have been more in the happy snaps category than the show other photographers category. Favourite photo location so far - Scilly Isles, off SW end of UK, but Red Sea was excellent for developing strobe technique. Look forward to trying it in UK waters once season starts.
