Member since: Sunday, March 20, 2005 | I was a professional press photographer from 1976-1981, and have since only taken pictures as a hobby. I made several (rather unsuccessfull) attempts at underwater photography with a normal compact camera, before I bought a Canon Powershot A70 and started using the extra functionality (color control) that the digital camera offers. My current underwater camera is a Canon PowerShot G9. The .RAW format really makes all sorts of differences.
My daytime job is as a computer security consultant. I do part time authoring (crime novels), and my third novel has just been published. I am a certified PADI IDC Staff Instructor with Digital Underwater Photography as one of my specialities.
