Christ of the Abyss, Key Largo, FL

This reef is a very shallow dome shaped reef which breaks the surface at low tide on the landward side, and slopes to 25 feet on the seaward side. The Christ Statue is one of the most famous and visited underwater sites on earth, accessible to divers and snorkelers alike! Shallow high profile spur and groove coral formations are surrounded by relatively flat, coral and sponge encrusted hard bottom, and sand. Large Spotted Eagle Rays and Southern Stingrays are often sighted near the sandy perimeter.

Turtles’ Feeding Place contains coral formations in a depth between 5 and 25 meters. Normally with a mild current and good visibility. Turtles can also be spotted here, with many shoals of fusiliers buzzing around.

Telsie’s Garden is a muck site right in front of the village Agpanabat. This site includes a rich sandy slope with scattered coral and some rubble areas. This is an excellent muck site with many different species of cephalopods, nudibranchs and different fish species.

As the name tells this is basically a beautiful submerged island covered in corals. Starting at 10 meters sloping down to 30 meters. Whilst diving around the island you can find many different fish species, nudibranchs and cuttlefish. This site also provides great photo opportunity.
